Day 7 - More Snow

Northern Utah is really in need of some more snowpack. The ski mountain was getting pretty bare and of course lack of snow affects our water supply in the summer. Not to mention the bad air we've been having. Thankfully, we have been receiving snow all day today. I love a good snowy day. Especially when I can stay home and not have to drive in it.

Day 6 - Thank Goodness for Tech Savvy Kids

I recently inherited an Ipod Touch. I haven't done much with it because I haven't known how to use it. I finally got it connected to the internet and my daughter, Lizzie helped me get some cool new apps on it.

Day 5 - Maddie

This is my cute daughter Maddie. She loves the Utah Jazz player Kyle Korver. All she wanted for Christmas was a Kyle Korver Jersey and tickets to a Jazz game. She got both. Here she is in her Kyle Korver Jersey.

Day 4 - Snow Shoveling

We finally got a much needed snow storm. It didn't leave much snow but it left enough that I needed to shovel. We have a long driveway and it was already a mess so I didn't bother with it. I did shovel the walk though so people can get from their car to our house without trudging through the snow.

Day 3 - My Husband

This is my husband, Blaine P. Andersen. When we first started dating he couldn't even power up a computer. He admitted that he had to take a class at Bridgerland so he could learn how to turn on the computer. He has come a long way since then. He is a great guy and I'm grateful to have him in my life. I love you, Blaine!

Day 2 - Tiger the Cat

When I was a very young girl my grandparents had a cat that slept on the top of their TV. It was always on the top of their TV. That led me to believe that cats found a favorite spot and stayed there. Not our cat. We have found him sleeping in the most unusual places. And hanging out in the most unusual places. This is where I found him this morning. Lizzie thinks he looks like an owl up there watching the comings and goings of the girls (this is near their bedroom). I just wonder how he got up there. Cats can be amazing at times.

Day 1 - Saturday Nights

When my children were young and I was too poor to hire a babysitter I was under the illusion that when they got old enough to be home alone I could do whatever I wanted on Saturday night. My kids are now old enough not to need babysitters, but what I have discovered is that they still need chaperones. My girls love to have friends over on Friday and Saturday nights. So I stay home to be an adult presence. I really don't mind. Their friends are fun and bring a lot of life to our home and I'm grateful that our home is the kind of place the kids like to hang out.
